Welcome to The Yogic Leader

For a long time, I believed leadership meant staying in the middle — controlled, careful, never too much of anything. It took years of sitting in corporate boardrooms and years on the yoga mat to understand that real balance isn't about standing still. It's about finding your own centre of gravity, and knowing how to return to it whenever life pushes you off course.
I'm Tamara Tirjak — a former corporate leader, a yoga teacher, and now an ICF-certified coach. My path hasn't been a straight line from one of those to the next; it's been all three, at the same time, for a long time. And that overlap is exactly where The Yogic Leader lives.
I believe in what I call the balance of extremes: going as far as you can in one direction while taking a seemingly opposing quality just as far in the other. The deeply spiritual leader who is also fiercely successful in business. The one who can be soft and immovable in the same breath. Not the safe, watered-down middle — the real thing, held in both hands at once.
That's the work I do now with the women I coach: mid-career leaders who are tired of leading the way they were taught, and ready to lead the way that's actually true to them. Strength and kindness. Ambition and authenticity. Succeeding in rooms that weren't built with them in mind, without losing themselves in the process. I know this balance from the inside — I've had to find my own centre of gravity more times than I can count, and I've learned, the hard way, that when you're off balance, you don't just feel it. You pass it on to the people closest to you. Coming back to centre isn't a luxury. It's how you lead — and live — without leaving a trail of damage behind you.
Through this blog, my newsletter, and now my coaching practice, I share what I've learned about the intersection of yoga and leadership: self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and conscious decision-making, made practical enough to use in your next difficult meeting.
If you're a leader ready to stop performing balance and start living it, I'd love to walk that path with you.
Join me in this journey of growth and transformation.
Namaste.
